Certified Translation – Getting It Right

When members of public, businesses and public authorities need a certified translation of a document that is not in English, it is important to choose a qualified, registered translator or translation company.

CIOL’s new mentoring platform is proving popular and a good number of members have signed up as mentees, looking for support and guidance from fellow members. If you are unsure of the types of things you could ask your mentor, or if your conversations with a mentor have become repetitive, here are a set of questions that could really help you keep things interesting and valuable for you and your mentor.

Introduction

CIOL is committed to setting, maintaining and upholding the highest standards of professional conduct. It sets out the standards and behaviours expected of its members and Chartered Linguists in the Code of Professional Conduct, which all members and chartered linguists agree to abide by when they join CIOL. The professional conduct procedures apply to all current CIOL members and to all registered Chartered Linguists. 

Renewal fees are agreed each year at the CIOL AGM and apply to all memberships that have a renewal date within in the specified dates below.
