Statement: Member of CIOL since 1982. I have worked as a linguist in different capacities for over 40 years, as a teacher and teacher-trainer in further, adult and higher education. I have taught German, English (as a foreign and second language) and translation skills to undergraduate students. I have worked on a number of ESF funded projects and delivered training sessions and workshops to adult educators in Germany.
Since 2005 I have also worked as an accredited freelance translator working with a range of clients and specializing particularly in education and training, politics and current affairs, arts and humanities, media, business and management. I also have an interest in translating literary works, both fiction and non-fiction.
