Statement: Currently living in South Tyrol in the Italian Alps, I translate from DE/IT into EN with the specialisms aerospace, business, marketing & tourism.
Between my MA and starting to translate professionally, I taught English in Japan, temped for the NHS, led groups of blind and sighted people around the world as a tour manager, and worked as a project manager at an LSP to find my feet in the translation industry.
My first professional translation role was for an LSP in Scotland. I was then offered a position as an in-house translator at Airbus Defence and Space, which led me to move to Munich and develop the aerospace specialism. I now work part-time for Brandnamic, an agency in South Tyrol offering consulting, software & marketing to hotels.
