Statement: I translate from Spanish and Portuguese to English and specialise in the areas of human rights, the environment, agriculture and extractive industries. I also have long-running collaborations with investigative journalists, providing translation services to produce English language versions of their award-winning projects.
I hold a PhD in computational linguistics/lexicography for my thesis entitled, "A lexicographic approach to profiling nomenclature usage in the biodiversity literature", in which I applied corpus linguistic techniques to lexical variation in terminology usage, specifically focusing on biological nomenclature.
