Statement: I am a translator, transcriber, editor and proofreader, based in Scotland and working from French, German and Russian into English. I have now been working full-time as a freelance linguist for seven years, having previously spent seven years in the UK civil service (including four in a language-focused role). My specialist areas are sport (particularly motorsports and football), legal documents, corporate documents (including company policies) and marketing texts. My background as a civil servant means I am also very comfortable translating official documents or anything to do with politics and current affairs.
