Statement: As a Canadian often mistaken for a Latin American, I have dedicated my career and studies towards enhancing my Spanish through teaching, interpreting, translating and connecting to Spanish-speaking immigrants and refugees through local programs and organizing international conferences. With a Master of Arts degree in Latin American Literature and extensive travel through Latin America and Spain I have gained a solid understanding of the regional nuances that facilitate cross-cultural communication. I am also currently a volunteer translator for Translators Without Borders & The Rosetta Foundation.
