Cinema trip - Flee

Event report

It was a joy to be able to return to the MAC after a long break. We had tea and cake before the film and beer and discussion afterwards. We all agreed that this was one of the most affecting, beautiful, but heart-wrenching films we had seen for a long time. Also particularly timely and relevant with regards to the Ukraine. Do go and see it if you can!

Come and watch this remarkable animated documentary reliving the long, hard journey of a gay Afghan refugee from Kabul to Copenhagen. It has been nominated for three Academy awards and has been described by critics as “extraordinary”, “a triumph” and “heart-breaking, nerve-wracking and ultimately uplifting”.

Please join us in the bar afterwards for a drink/snack and discussion of the film.

Please note: All attendees to buy their own tickets.
