Position: Training and Networks Manager

Salary: Up to £35K per annum, Full time
Contract: Temporary – Maternity Cover
CIOL is the leading professional body for all language professionals. Its international membership is diverse and includes translators, interpreters, language teachers, university lecturers and linguists who use their foreign language skills in business and industry. With plans to significantly grow membership over the next three years, the introduction of a new membership model and a strategic aim to increase the number of Chartered Linguists, this this is an exciting time to join CIOL.
The Training and Networks Manager is responsible for creating engaging webinars and workshops for all linguists, from sourcing speakers, supporting marketing, hosting webinars, and ensuring all events are fully publicised through our website and social media channels. The role also involves supporting CIOL members and other professional linguists via networks, divisions, and societies, particularly with online events and marketing.
Strong communication skills are vital to build good relationships with speakers and being able to negotiate well. It is important that the postholder has the ability to gain knowledge of the language profession in order to devise an interesting timetable of webinars and workshops.
This will suit someone with excellent organisational, communication and time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines with minimum supervision. You may have experience in the following areas: CPD training and/or professional bodies, marketing, and events.
