Statement: Isabel del Rio has extensive experience as a linguist and writer. For over two decades, she was a full-time translator, reviser and terminologist at the International Maritime Organization (IMO), a UN agency in London. Previously, she was a full-time producer and presenter, BBC World Service. She works across several language-related fields: literary translation; journalism and scriptwriting; terminology and lexicography; tutoring in writing and translation; performance. Also a literary writer, she has published fiction and poetry in both English and Spanish. Union affiliations: Equity, Society of Authors (SoA).
