On Thursday 10 May 2018, the University of Westminster launched its CLIL Centre of Excellence, which aims to support a growing network of teachers who are using, or wishing to use, a CLIL approach in teaching in London and the South of England. On 3 May 2018, Aston University launched its National Centre for CLIL, set up to promote learning all kinds of subjects in a foreign language. Year 10s at one school made a grade-and-a-half more progress after learning their usual school subjects in French. The aim is provide a portal advice & leadership in CLIL in England, coordinating training and research, supporting schools and ensuring sustainability. The involvement and support of colleagues would be most welcome.
