Kaizen or change for the better 改善

The year 2022 is ending. The German Language Society decided to learn about Kaizen to start 2023 as good as we can and make the best out of it.  In short: How can we improve?

Kaizen is  a Japanese term meaning change for the better or continuous improvement. However, Kaizen has come to mean "continuous improvement" through its association with lean methodology and principles.

Greg Sturmer, a lifelong learner and a business expert, will explain the basics of Kaizen and how to apply it to our business and personal life: "In Kaizen, it doesn't matter where you start. This may sound trite or counterintuitive, but it is essential for successful team building and will define that team's ultimate power and unity. All Kaizen processes should start with a process known as "coming to the line"; it is a requirement that all members of the team and the team itself come to the line. This means that the team identifies everything it does not know to set the measurables for the spiral."

Greg was one of the first people who worked with traceability and fashion. To achieve his goals, he used the Kaizen method. Kaizen originates from Japan and is a way to improve continuously.

In 2000 he was called the father of traceability and a strong advocate of organic and environmentally friendly fashion. These days Greg is a coach, digital marketeer and public speaker worldwide.
