Hidden corners of Hampstead Heath

Join the London and South East Networking group for a guided walk through unfamiliar parts of Hampstead Heath.

We will discover the secluded Vale of Health, and we will walk through the Pergola and the Hill Garden, which were originally part of a millionaire’s mansion. The walk will take approx 1.5 hours and is hilly in parts but participants will be able to take a shorter route back to the restaurant if they wish. This is a great opportunity to meet members in person, enjoy some fresh air and to network afterwards in a nearby restaurant.

The walk will led by CIOL member Gill Bevington and the London and South East network committee.

Meeting point:  Hampstead Heath Overground station.  (Nearest tube station:  Belsize Park, ca 10 mins walk)

Programme

  • 2:15pm – Meet at Hampstead Heath Overground station (nearest tube station: Belsize Park, ca 10 mins walk)
  • 2:30pm – Walk begins
  • 4:00pm – Restaurant

Please note:

  • We will walk on grass and some uneven paths with tree roots, which may be slippery if wet, so please wear appropriate shoes/boots.
  • In case of rain - bring rain jackets and hats. The event will NOT be cancelled due to bad weather but the walk may be shortened.
  • No dogs please. Although we will be on Hampstead Heath, dogs are not permitted in the Pergola or the restaurant.
