Progressing your Professional Interpreting Career

Opportunities, possibilities and advice from experienced professional Interpreters.

This event will be more relaxed, starting with four 15-minute presentations from experienced professional interpreters. As can be seen from the programme, their career pathways have progressed in very different ways. This first session will also include a one hour Q&A session, which will address questions sent in advance of the meeting (please do send them to id@ciol.org.uk), as well as questions from the floor.

Our regular 3-course networking lunch has been extended to allow more discussion with colleagues and for the panel and other committee members to be available for additional advice or just a chat.

Our final interactive post-lunch discussion panel, including any further Q&As, will be led by Teresa Grau, a well-known committee member and experienced professional interpreter. The Interpreting Division very much hopes that our day together will send you home inspired and ready to consider new opportunities, strategies and recommendations that may come your way as you move forward in your career.
