Do you have the skills and competencies to join CIOL Council, CIOL’s governing body? The call for nominations is now open and CIOL members in the grades of Associate, Member and Fellow are invited to stand for nomination or nominate a fellow member.
CIOL is governed by an elected Council of 10 to 15 members, and its primary role is to provide governance to the organisation. Council has strategic oversight of the running of CIOL which includes its finances, staffing and stakeholder engagement plus recognised expectations of company boards. The role of a Council member is therefore an important one and as an equal opportunity employer we welcome nominations from the widest possible range of Associates, Members and Fellows. More information about the role, the process and the online nomination form can be accessed here. The closing date for the receipt of nominations is 5:00pm GMT on Friday 1 December 2017.
As we seek four new members of Council, we say goodbye to Dominic Brett MCIL, Christine Pocock FCIL, Judith Ridgway FCIL and Tom Gale MCIL, who are stepping down at the AGM in March 2018. Karen Stokes, FCIL, CL said: “On behalf of my fellow Council members and CIOL staff I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to Dominic, Christine, Judith and Tom for the time and commitment they have given to Council. It has been a pleasure working with such dedicated members and being able to draw upon their skills and expertise.”
